- Do not surf without taking at least one surf lesson. Taking a first lesson before starting on your own will allow you to avoid the dangers, become aware of them and have a good idea of the techniques.

- Do not go offshore alone, especially when the waves are big.

- Do not surf alone on new spots.

- Use of equipment adapted to your level and wetsuit for your protection against the cold, blows from the board and for more buoyancy.

- Respect the safety instructions.

- Stop surfing before you run out of strength, because that's when your attention drops and you risk getting hurt

- Always keep in mind that surfing is a moment of connection with nature and a moment of pleasure and that performance is not an end.


- CAN WE SURF ALL YEAR ROUND?

- AT WHAT AGE CAN YOU LEARN TO SURF?

From the age of 6, But Guethary Surf Guide only takes students from 16 years old

- IS THE EQUIPMENT PROVIDED?

Yes, the school provides boards and wetsuits adapted to your level for the duration of the course.

- DO I NEED INSURANCE?

Guethary Surf Guide surf school lessons include RC insurance

- HOW MANY PEOPLE PER GROUP?

One instructor for 4 students maximum.

- I AM NOT A SUPER SWIMMER, CAN I SURF?

Yes, you must know how to swim at least 50m and depending on their level, students can always have a foothold during beginner sessions.

- I WANT TO DO A SURF COURSE BUT I DON'T KNOW WHICH FORMULA TO CHOOSE?

From the simple formula of 3 lessons to the intensive one-week course. It all depends on your physical ability. You can always start with a 3-course course and switch to a 5-course course.

- WHAT EQUIPMENT SHOULD I BRING?

A towel and a bathing suit. The rest of the equipment is provided by the school (board, wetsuit, etc...).
